Telus/Cambridge Electronics Incorporated, an authorized Telus dealer in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada, is excited to announce the launch of the new line of Apple iPhones, such as the iPhone Xs and Xs Max at the store on September 21. The recently announced phones are expected to be a hot ticket with consumers, and the store's staff is expecting the phones to fly off the shelves.
Dan from Telus/Cambridge Electronics Incorporated says, "Every time Apple announces new products, the hype surrounding it is always big, and this time will be no different. We highly recommend that you submit your orders for the phones in our stores as early as possible so that you will not be disappointed."
The phones feature a Super Retina display that comes in two sizes, 5.8 and 6.5 inches, the largest display ever made for iPhones. The display comes with custom-built OLED panels for an HDR multi-display that provides the industry's best color accuracy, true blacks and remarkable brightness with a 448 ppi pixel density. "Every year, Apple improves on making its displays pop," Dan says. "And with such improved display specs on the new iPhones, it's looking sharper and clearer than ever."
Another Apple-exclusive component of the new iPhones is their Advanced Face ID. Face ID uses a TrueDepth camera for facial recognition and with it, users can not only unlock their phones, they can also use Apple Pay as well as open apps by just looking at their iPhone. Inside, the A12 Bionic chip with next-generation Neural Engine uses real-time machine learning to transform the way users experience photos, gaming, augmented reality and more. Apple says the chip is 15 percent faster than the A11 chip used in the iPhone X.
The camera in the new iPhone models is being hailed as a breakthrough. It boasts of dual 12 megapixel telephoto and wide-angle cameras, up to 10x digital zoom, advanced red eye correction, and more. The phones also feature an advanced Portrait Mode, which includes enhanced bokeh, and all-new Depth Control. Portrait Mode also comes with five lighting effects: Natural, Studio, Contour, Stage, and Stage Mono.
Dan from the Telus Fort Saskatchewan store adds, "The camera is not only going to take amazing pictures, it will take breathtaking video too. It will take 4k quality video in either 720p or 1080p, featuring optical image optimization, up to 6x digital zoom, and users can even take time-lapse video with it. People can get really creative with these devices."
The new iPhones also come with a new operating system, which is the iOS12. This OS is hailed as the most personalized system Apple has released. Along with a 50% faster keyboard display, apps will load up to two times faster under a heavy workload on the phone, as well as a faster swipe to the camera improved up to 70%. The updated FaceTime app now allows users to talk with up to 32 people at once. The Animoji app has also been updated to include personalized avatars and new animal Animojis. The phones also have improved water, splash, and dust resistance. They have been rated IP68 under IEC standard 60529 with a maximum depth of 2 meters up to 30 minutes.
"It's the perfect time to upgrade your iPhone," Dan says. "We have a new Bring It Back program set up for our Premium, Premium+ and Platinum plans for existing Telus customers. As soon as you can renew, bring your old device in, and get money off of a new iPhone right away. Not only will you save on the upfront cost of your new device, you have the flexibility to pay it off if you want to. It's possible to get up to $300 off on the hottest phone on the market today. And on top of it, you'll get an extended warranty in case it gets broken or damaged."
The opinions from Apple experts indicate that the new iPhones could be ahead of their time. Speaking on Mix 107's Tech Talk Sep.14.2018, Dan said, "Every year there's a gigantic leap in technology... that's what I felt when I heard the [Apple] presentation and it was confirmed later on in some posts what I've seen.[The] phones that will be released in 2020, like Android phones, won't match the technology that's coming out later this month."
To find out more about the new iPhone models, or to order, Dan suggests coming down to the Fort Saskatchewan store. "Come down and talk to us in person. Don't order online and have to wait for the post. Get this iPhone in your hands as soon as possible."
