How Things Work, a website run from Burlington, IA, and dedicated to providing educational science materials to teachers and homeschoolers, is proud to announce the recent update of the website from an old HTML version to WordPress format. This website has far greater capacity, which means that they have also been able to add a wealth of new content.

Dave York from How Things Work says: "Our website is dedicated to making sure people can access the most interesting educational resources, including a variety of projects on science. They can use these in classrooms or at home with their children. Our old website simply wasn't fit for purpose anymore, so we decided to invest in a complete overhaul. We are so happy with the results and just know our educators will love it as much as we do."

The new content includes new categories, fun games, science news clips, fun science facts, a wealth of interesting science projects, and a special video section. This section can be found under the Science Extras/Gallery drop down menu on the website. The new format makes the website a lot easier to navigate, a lot more intuitive, and certainly a lot more engaging. The website is also a lot more responsive, even enabling people to access it while on the go.

One of the most popular science projects explained on the website is the volcano project. Parents in particular have written to the company to express how much they and their children have enjoyed it, some have even been sending videos of their children in action. Meanwhile, children have also reported enjoying the potato and lemon battery projects.

Furthermore, the company has also launched its Facebook page. Dave York adds: "I must admit that our Facebook page is currently underutilized because we have all been so busy with the new website. However, we will be changing all that soon, particularly since we have noticed so many people have liked our page since the website overhaul."

Students, teachers and parents are all encouraged to check out the new website and make use of some of the many projects listed there.
