Immortalitea, a company based in Grandville, Michigan, has announced the release of a new video on Youtube. The purpose of the video is to compare whole flower hibiscus tea to inferior cut and sifted varieties.
Ralph Kenney with the company says, "Many people do not realize the vast difference in hibiscus tea with regards to whole and inferior cut and sifted. We wanted to provide more information about these differences to help those who use hibiscus tea for its health benefits to have a much more positive experience."
Kenney says that hibiscus tea offers a number of health benefits. Studies have shown that hibiscus can help to maintain a healthy cardiovascular system and that it contains antioxidants to promote a stronger immune system and to help slow down the aging process.
Kenney adds, "The thing is, you have to drink tea made from hibiscus flowers that are harvested and preserved properly."
Kenney says that their hibiscus comes from a community farm in China where villagers hand pick the flowers every year without opening them, which preserves and keeps the bud intact. The flowers then open in the cup of those who drink it and offer a more intense flavor and color than those that have been dried. The video shows the process, the company says, so that those who want to buy hibiscus tea will know how it is harvested and shipped fresh to them.
Kenney says that they buy only a small quantity from the Chinese village every year and once that harvest is gone it will not be available again until the next season. She says that this way, customers receive the freshest hibiscus possible, offering more benefits than those that have been dried and preserved.
Kenney says that this process helps the company to ensure that they sell only 100 percent organic and chemical free hibiscus. The flowers grow on an abandoned field outside the village in China and are left alone, only touched once a year during harvest.
Immortalitea is a small family owned and operated business that offers a number of healthy teas and other products to customers. Those interested can see the video on Youtube or visit the company on their official website.
