Aid & Prep, maker of safety equipment and outdoor sports gear for family use, announced today that it is launching a new 12 foot, 10 gauge jumper cable for automotive safety. The cable is available now on the Amazon Marketplace. This new product is the latest in Aid & Prep’s extensive line of vehicle and emergency safety products and a further expansion of the company into Amazon.

“When it comes to vehicle safety, it’s the little details that count,” said Brodie Vaughn, President of Aid & Prep. “Having an long jumper cable can make a big different in emergency situations. With a standard 6 or 8 foot cable, the cars almost have to be touching one another, which can pose a roadside safety hazard. That’s why we made the investment in a longer cable and a gauge strong enough to get you back on the road in an emergency.”

The jumper cables come in a carrying case along with a keychain safety light. The light can clip on a keychain or backpack or can easily fit in the glove box. The unique feature of the light is the powerful magnet on the back. It can be attached to the hood of a car during the jump start process and the strong steady light mode can be activated. But more importantly, it can also be attached to the back of your car and the pulsing flashing light mode can be activated as a safety alert to oncoming drivers. The light has three modes in all: bright steady for working, softer steady for reading and flashing for emergencies. The cable is rolled into a circular, 11 inch case designed to take up as little space as possible in the trunk of your car and the flashlight is shipping inside the zippered case.

The jumper cables are the latest offering by Aid & Prep involving car safety. Other products include reflective collapsible safety traffic cones that fold down to 2 inches high, but can pop up to 16 inches when needed. The cones are reflective to insure disabled vechicles can be seen at night. They also offer a car emergency tool that can cut seatbelts and break windows in case of emergency and it is also equipped with a flashlight feature. When asked about the light features on his products, Brodie Vaughn explained, "Most people, when they think of safety, think of fixing the immediate problem and getting out of the situation, but we need to also be thinking about being safe while working out the problem itself. Whether its changing a tire or jump starting your car, we want our products to account for the fact that working in the dark on the side of the road adds an extra hazard and our products to account for that. We make sure we factor the ability to be seen into our gear."

Aid & Prep is a family owned business. In addition to safety and emergency preparedness equipment, they also offer a line of items for hikers, campers and outdoor enthusiasts.
