CrossPoint Community Church, a non-denominational church in Jenkinsburg, GA, is trying to raise money through http://igfn.us/vf/chaos for the upcoming MERGE event between July 13 and 17. They have so far been able to raise $3,973, but still need a further $1,272 to enable their young people to go to this event, and time is running out. People are encouraged to dig deep and support this worthy cause.
Andy Stewart from CrossPoint Community Church says, "The MERGE event is an event where various churches from all over the South come together in order to help rebuild a broken community. The youth group from our church, who have called themselves C.H.A.O.S. along with other church groups, will provide various vital service projects, including roof replacement, installing handicap ramps, painting and anything else that will benefit those in need."
The town that MERGE is targeting this year was once a thriving industrial town with high levels of employment. However, the recession hit it very hard and while the town is rebuilding, far more help is needed. By donating to the CrossPoint Community Church, people will directly provide assistance to this community. Each year, young people from CrossPoint and other churches have come together to assist in this type of work, and the impact it has had not just on the lives of people in the community, but in their own lives as well, has been amazing and nothing short of a blessing.
The church is looking at different avenues to encourage people to donate to the cause, including through their Facebook page on https://www.facebook.com/CCCgracers. This page also explains more about Christians Hyped About Our Savior (C.H.A.O.S.), as well as highlighting the fantastic work they do for their communities aside from the MERGE event.
"All donations made through http://igfn.us/vf/chaos go straight to the youth so they have the support they need at the MERGE event," adds Andy Stewart. "As such, it is returned directly into the community."
