CrossPoint Community Church, a nondenominational church in Jenkinsburg, Georgia, is raising money for the MERGE Mission Camp on July 13-17 in Toccoa, Georgia. The money raised will enable young people to donate their time and skills at the MERGE mission camp. While $3,873 has already been raised, a further $1,372 is still needed by July 10th in order to ensure the MERGE Mission Camp can be completed this year. Further information is available on the homepage of CrossPoint Community Church.

"We have been overwhelmed by the kindness of people in our community and beyond and the donations they have made so far," says Andy Stewart from CrossPoint Community Church. "We knew we set the bar high this year with our total goal, but we believe that we will be able to meet it thanks to the goodness of those who understand the importance of our young people being given an opportunity to become true servants of Christ."

The MERGE Mission Camp is an event at which various churches come together in order to help people in need. They do this through a range of different activities, including replacing roofs, constructing handicap ramps and other projects that service the community as a whole. Effectively, they also want to ensure traditional values stay in place while bringing in modern technologies. One way they achieve this is by incorporating Facebook in their donation campaign. Facebook is also used to raise more awareness about the CrossPoint Community Church and the work that they do.

The C.H.A.O.S. group constantly searches for opportunities to show the love of Christ through acts of service. MERGE is an opportunity for youth to become involved in serving their community. The leaders of CrossPoint recognize that our youth are the leaders of tomorrow. As such, they want to provide them with all possible opportunities to become servants of Christ today, something that they will take with them into adulthood, where they will be able to influence the next generation of young people.

"The reality is that today's young people are the same people who will work tirelessly to ensure our love of Christ and servitude continues to grow strong in everybody's heart", adds Andy Stewart. "It is our job to support them to reach their full potential, because it won't take long before they will start to do the same for the next generation of young people."

People are encouraged to donate now using the links provided on the Church's website and Facebook page. Just over $1,000 still needs to be raised, and it is in fact a donation to the youth. In return, young people will have the opportunity to do something good for their communities themselves.

Crosspoint Community Church wants to emphasize the fact that young people are willingly donating their personal time as well as their considerable skills to the CHAOS project. Recognizing that they are doing this, and that their skills are indeed considerable, are both incredibly important. Donations make this possible.
