Mikey Castro Now Teaches Hip-Hop For Turn It Up Dance Challenge

Mikey Castro, a hip-hop dance instructor from Boise, ID, is now teaching hip-hop dance for a dance convention called Turn It Up Dance Challenge. Castro has already developed a huge following of people trying to learn from him, and now that he is involved with the dance convention, he is in even higher demand.

"The Turn It Up Dance Challenge has entered its 10th year and I am so happy to be a part of it," says Mikey Castro himself. "I started dancing at the end of my freshman year and I had found my calling. Ever since, I have been traveling all over the country to show people what they can do as well. My goal is simply to share my abilities with the next generation and there is no better place to do that than at the Turn It Up Dance Challenge."

The Turn It Up Dance Challenge is a one day convention in which dance students can learn from world reknown dance teachers and choreographers. For Castro, being invited to teach for Turn It Up is a dream come true. The convention is incredibly influential among young people, which is exactly the people he wants to target through dance. When it comes to hip-hop dance, Mikey Castro believes it is a way to keep young people out of trouble and off the streets, and to give them purpose and meaning in life.

Castro believes that working with young people can give them the confidence they need to succeed in anything they undertake. "My newest video on Youtube is 'Love Yourself Dance Freestyle' by Justin Bieber," adds Castro. "This dance really is about starting at the most basic point, loving yourself, and going from there. Once you have your heart in the right place, you are ready to take on the world."

The Turn It Up Dance Challenge guarantees that attendants have a memorable time and that they come away with better knowledge about their chosen dance style. They believe Castro is the man to do that in terms of hip-hop dancing.
