The Country Club at DC Ranch is promising a packed calendar full of exciting activities for the Spring season. February and March are going to see an increase in activity as everyone who was away for the holidays, joins them back.

Management at the ranch says that the amount of activity at the ranch has put some strain on reservations, most apparent in the accessibility to golf tee times but they are confident that they can maximize the member traffic every day. There are some changes to guest play and morning and afternoon tee-times have been added. The management says that they look forward to keeping the Club up and running every single day and request the members’ help by adherence to protocols to make that happen. As the traditional Spring Scottsdale golf club events are fast approaching, the Club aims to conduct almost all of them albeit with a bit of a change from their traditional offerings. It asks members to stay tuned for further information on its events such as Easter, Taste of the Ranch, the Desert Diamond Classic, Roundup, and Stampede among others.

The management also wants to thank all members who attended the annual meeting in January via Zoom. This year they had a record attendance through this venue and they look forward to having that be a part of their future presentations as they welcome all of the attendance and feedback. The management says that interaction with the Scottsdale Golf Club membership is vital to its future success as it tries to live up to its reputation as the best golf course in Scottsdale. The board recommends that if anyone has any questions, comments, or concerns, they should reach out to them. As confirmed in the annual meeting, the Club has three new directors joining the board this year. David Wigler and Rich Baccaro will be serving three and one-year terms respectively. In addition, Bob Kline was elected to an additional three years on the board. For the coming year, the Club President will be John Roussel who will be entering his first year in this role.

The club’s main goals for 2021 were outlined and reviewed in the annual meeting. The first goal is to restore all the Club experiences at the highest level of service possible so that the Country Club at DC Ranch continues to be the finest Club in the Valley including a reputation for service, outstanding facilities, and member satisfaction. Next, the board plans to follow through with the needs as provided by the Master Plan for Improvement of Club Facilities. The first of these items is the renovation of the men’s locker room and grille which are in need of updates. The board also promises to keep an ongoing line of communication with the Club members and fully utilize its advisory committees to ensure that its members are engaged at all times so that it can continue to improve in all that it does.

The spokesperson for the company, Melanie Halpert, says, “I truly believe that we are in a solid position with an experienced leadership team, a strong financial position and an engaged and supportive membership which will continue to generate a buzz in the market as we aim to achieve even higher levels in 2021 and beyond.”

The Club also has a plan to tackle the effect of the COVID pandemic on its business. They request all members to continue weaning masks while at the Club while walking through the Clubhouse and grounds, as well as in the gym. All members, guests, and staff that have traveled internationally will need to get tested 3-5 days after travel and are required to stay home and self-quarantine for seven days after travel. If they don’t get tested, they must stay home and away from the Club for ten days after travel. The board reminds everyone that these guidelines are provided by the CDC and they are simply following them as a precautionary measure.
