Centerville, Utah based Bio Clean of Utah is reaching out to the community to share the details of one of their most recent water damage restoration projects. The company hopes that this information will prompt other residents to be more conscientious of possible water damage in their homes.

Bio Clean of Utah, one of the most reliable cleanup and restoration specialists in the area, has once again proven their expertise and worth as leaders of the industry by completing yet another successful water damage cleanup job. The company was called in to fix a water leak problem in a Salt Lake City home. Unsure of what to expect due to the lack of details provided, they dispatched their most experienced crew to perform a preliminary inspection, and assess the extent of the damage on the property. Details of what a water restoration project encompasses can be found here: https://www.biocleanofutah.com/salt-lake-city-water-damage-cleanup/.

Daryl Olsen, owner of Bio Clean of Utah and a restoration and cleanup expert in his own right, states, “This incident seemed like a routine call at first but we quickly found out that the extent of the water damage in the property was far bigger than we expected. While it was initially caused by a leak in a fridge water supply line, it had grown to affect several other areas of the kitchen. We assessed the situation and let our client know what had to be done to restore the damaged areas and prevent any further water damage. Judging by the severity of the situation, it could have seriously affected the integrity of the entire property if it had been left unattended any longer.”

Despite the extent of the water damage, Olsen clarifies that a relatively fast response on their client’s part allowed the company to address the issue before any signs of mold began to appear, which would have made the project much more complicated to deal with. Signs of water damage were present on kitchen cabinets, walls and cork floors, all of which were beyond saving and needed replacing. Adjacent rooms were also affected by the leak—the company states that they found minor water damage in a closet in the adjacent room as well as the house’s basement.

“Our client did a great job of identifying the leak and contacting us before the situation got even worse,” states Olsen. However, there was one more minor setback before the company could carry on the restoration. He explains, “The job was delayed for a few days because the access to a damaged wall was restricted due to a fish tank that needed to be partially drained and moved. We tried to make the most out of the situation while this setback was taken care of, and we did quick work of the restoration project once it had been solved. The total cost of the project, restoration and repairs came out to $12,000. This is one of the best examples of when prevention is better than a cure since the situation could have spun out of control over the course of the next few months if it had gone on unnoticed."

While this water restoration project in Salt Lake City is the latest testimony of the company’s expertise, Bio Clean of Utah enjoys a distinguished reputation as one of the best disaster cleanup companies in the region. They enjoy a perfect 5-Star rating on the Google platform, and they are also one of the best-rated cleanup companies in Northern Utah.
