Sarnia Hair Salon Celebrating Three Years Being Open

The Woods Hair Salon in Sarnia, Ontario, is proud to celebrate three years in business. Sarnia-born hair stylist Tyler Smith has worked in the industry for a decade and a half, and always wanted to open his own hair salon, since his first day on the job. “Ever since I started my first job I’ve had ideas. The chance to create a space and influence the design was always top of mind,” says Smith.

Smith runs The Woods Hair Salon and the clientele has grown quite rapidly. Opening his own business has allowed Mr. Smith to pursue talented, local stylists to join him in his space. “This team is the best I’ve worked with since I’ve started working in the industry. It's a very complementary group of hand-picked talent that I learn from daily.” The Woods Hair Salon is celebrating its third anniversary, this December.

Smith opened The Woods Hair Salon when he returned to Sarnia, Ontario. He is beyond excited that he gets to share his dream with his talented wife Ashley, the woods team and their clients. This partnership allows them to continue to evolve as a company and team.

“We are consistently growing as a team, and I’m looking to grow further by adding more stations to keep up with business… we like to stay on top of the trends both in salon décor, product, and hairstyles.”

Smith also recognized an opportunity to be involved in the budding arts culture in Sarnia. He and his team will be styling the hair for the production of Miracle on 34th Street, playing at the Imperial Theatre in Sarnia, Ontario. It will be a proving ground for developing his skill set he established years ago in the Toronto scene.

Another production they will help produce is a local rendition of Dancing With the Stars. Smith says this is the fourth year they’ve helped with the show. The Quality Inn Point Edward will host the event, taking place on January 19th, 2019.
