Avasia Working With Women's Co-operative In India To Produce Organic Cotton Baby Product

Natasha Avasia from Avasia, says: "Our company has long focused on creating the highest quality prenatal and postnatal supplements to ensure health and longevity in women, their unborn babies, and children. Our aim has always been to make a positive impact on the world as a whole, so when we had the opportunity to launch a new baby product by collaborating with a women's cooperative in an impoverished community in India, we jumped at the opportunity. Production has now started and we hope to launch our new product soon."

As part of the fair trade movement, which wishes to ensure all people are able to trade fairly not just economically, but also ecologically, a number of cooperatives have been set up around the world, most in third world countries. A number of these cooperatives are women-led in particular, ensuring women in poorer communities are able to receive education and work.
