The Doll Collectors of North Park (DCNP), a club in San Diego, CA, is offering information that can help people identify a doll collection. The DCNP receives around three to five contacts per day from family members with regards to this issue. The DCNP is a nonprofit organization, and none of the members are official appraisers. However, they do have a lot of experience, expertise, and knowledge on the issue, having studied dolls for many years. They have currently identified a new tool through Dolls Magazine that allows people to submit information about their doll and have it identified. This tool is available through http://www.dollsmagazine.com/component/content/article/96.html.

Stephanie Beck from DCNP says: "We're so excited to have found the tool in Dolls Magazine. So many people contact us every week asking us to help them figure out the identity of their doll and, while we will always take a look and give them our opinion, it is never more than a highly educated guess. We are a nonprofit organization and don't charge any membership fees, so there is no way we could offer an identification service ourselves, but the Dolls Magazine comes to the rescue."

The doll identification feature on Dolls Magazine is very easy to use. It simply asks people to provide some details about the doll, such as the construction of its head and body, the clothing it wears, its colors, and so on. People must then add a photograph of the doll for further identification. They will receive a reply about the identity of their doll as soon as possible thereafter.

The DCNP as a club has existed for over 70 years and is the largest club of its kind in the San Diego area. They are also one of the only ones who do not charge membership fees. Despite this, however, DCNP members make fantastic contributions to their local community, for instance by knitting blankets for teenage unwed mothers, support the Girl Scouts of America, and more. They encourage anyone with an interest in dolls to visit their website, join their club, or attend the Doll Show that they are sponsoring that will be held on October 22, 2016 in San Diego.
