Doll Collectors Of North Park Sponsors Doll Show In San Diego

Nonprofit club Doll Collectors of North Park (DCNP) has announced that they are sponsoring the Doll Show and Sale on October 22, 2016 that will be held in San Diego, CA. The event will take place at Our Savior's Lutheran Church and will have a Halloween theme. More than 30 exhibitors are expected to display modern, BJD's, antique, and vintage toys. Stephanie Beck from Doll Collectors of North Park says: "Mark your calendars for a "Spook-tacular" event. We offer free parking. Food and drinks are available in the cafe. Admission is just $5.00 and we encourage people to share the event to get a discount. Kids 13 and under get free admission if accompanied by an adult. Bring your favorite dolls, place them in the scene, snap off a pic to share with your favorite online doll forum. The first 50 attendees will receive the latest issue of Doll Magazine."

The club has existed for more than 70 years and in that time, they have grown to the largest of the 28 doll clubs in San Diego. DCNP is also the only club of its kind in San Diego where members do not pay dues. Throughout the years, DCNP has supported the community in various ways. These include making baby blankets for unwed teen mothers, donating to women's shelters, and pet rescue organizations. Furthermore, DCNP members cooperated with the Girl Scouts of America in helping the local troops to earn Doll Making Badges.
