London, UK, JAN 10, 2016 – Ireland is making some Work Permit changes. Most of the changes introduced have been because of a skills shortage in a number of industries, most notably the IT sector, and are all contained in the Employment Permits (Amendment) Regulations 2015. In keeping with their mission to educate travellers on the VISA process, VisaCompare (www.visacompare.com) has just published a new blog post entitled 'Ireland Employment Permit.'
The article discusses 'changes in Ireland’s labor market that have caused the Department for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation to revamp some classifications. For instance, another designation with noticeable changes is the “highly skilled” category which has been given to certain therapists and specialists in healthcare while certain managers and directors in that field are no longer considered as such.’
According to the article, 'occupations such as IT engineers which had been deemed “Ineligible Occupations” for employment permits are now removed from that list, due to a shortage in the market while, at the same time that list now includes those previously on the “Eligible Occupations” list, such as graphic design managers, reflecting a current abundance of such managers in the market.'
According to the article, ‘Other modifications include extension of P30 validity to three months and the introduction of new employment forms.'
“Improvements to and developments in the Irish work permit application process will have long term value for the Irish economy as those international companies based here,” states Edwina Shanahan, manager at Visafirst, a Dublin-headquartered company which provides global visa and recruitment support services company. “Also those that are considering setting up here, benefit from faster processing times and a reduced documentation requirements.”
