DSB Products Launches Solid Coating Design Silicone Spatula Set

Silicone is used extensively in the manufacture of spatulas today, and has replaced most of the rubber spatulas used in the past. Silicone is pliable like rubber but has a much higher melting point and can therefore be used in a hot pan without deforming its shape. Silicone is derived from a pure and fine grain sand which is transformed through heat and additive processes, then colored and molded into many functional shapes. This material meets the safety regulations of the FDA for food contact.

The 4 piece spatula set offered by Happy Cook is molded as a solid silicone coating over a metallic stiffener which makes each utensil a single piece. There are no crevices or gap areas that are typical of two piece spatulas where the handle can pull out of the spatula blade. The set includes an 11 inch and an 8 inch long spatula, an 8 inch long spoonula (which is a spoon shaped spatula), and a silicone basting brush.
