Dr. Mark Hickman, MD, FACS, a highly skilled microsurgeon in New Braunfels, TX, is offering two all-inclusive options, where the price of a vasectomy reversal is affordable. The first all-inclusive option is available at $3,300 and already includes oral sedatives and local anesthesia. The second all-inclusive option is available at $4,200 and already includes intravenous sedation administered by a board certified anesthesiologist. Despite being affordable, Dr. Hickman always delivers the highest level of care for his patients.

Dr. Mark Hickman says, “It will be performing a pioneering microsurgical technique to reverse a vasectomy. With this all inclusive fee, there are no surprises, so call today for your free consultation. Also, if your are from outside New Braunfels, you can ask about our discounted hotel rates here in beautiful New Braunfels, Texas.”

He adds, “I have focused my entire practice on the successful reversal of vasectomies. I have performed thousands of successful vas reversals over the course of my 26 year career leading to thousands of births and happy new parents. My mission is to allow fathers to become dads once more.”

To perform the affordable vasectomy reversal, Dr. Hickman will repair the vas deferens using microsurgery techniques and with the help of a powerful operating microscope. He will be using 10 to 15 stitches using fine nylon suture, which is much finer than human hair. The goal of the procedure is to carefully align the lumen of the two ends of the vas and provide a watertight closure to ensure a higher success rate, for as low as $3,300.

Before performing the watertight closure, Dr. Hickman will get a sample of the fluid from the testicular end of the vas and take a look at this under a laboratory microscope. Since the testicle should continue to produce sperm even after the vasectomy, this sample fluid ought to contain some sperm. There are three possible situations, when he takes a look at this fluid sample. The first one, which is the best possible situation, is that the sample fluid contains whole sperm. The second possibility, which is the most frequent, is that the fluid is thin and contains only sperm parts and no whole sperm. The third situation is that the fluid is thick and pasty and has no sperm at all.

The third situation means there is an obstruction that is called an epididymal blowout. This means that the vas is blocked at two points; one is at the vasectomy site and the other one is due to a rupture of the tube in the epididymis. If this third situation is encountered by Dr. Hickman, he will have to perform a vasoepididymostomy aside from the vasovasostomy. However, since the price quoted is all-inclusive, no additional cost will be charged even if both repairs have to be done.

Meanwhile, Dr. Hickman is also calling on men from other places in Texas to come to New Braunfels for a vasectomy reversal. In fact, he is also inviting men from other states to come to New Braunfels, TX, which happens to be a tourist town. He has negotiated deals with some of the local hotels to allow his out-of-town patients to get as much as a 50 percent discount on their hotel accommodation.

Launched in 1988, Dr. Mark Hickman’s New Braunfels medical office is where he applies his expert microsurgical and minimally invasive methods for vasectomy reversal. He finished his general surgery residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and it was during this period in his life that he was exposed to the microsurgery techniques that were then being applied in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He quickly noted that minimally invasive microsurgery would offer significant advantages for his patients, such as a much shorter recovery time. Thus, he decided to apply microsurgery techniques for his vasectomy reversal practice.

Those who are interested in knowing more about the expert vasectomy reversal can visit Dr. Hickman’s website or contact him through the phone or by email. His practice is open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, from Monday to Friday.
