Salt Lake City, UT based Drones Etc. has announced that the DJI NPE New Pilot Experience event that was held on November 14, 2015 was a huge success. A spokesperson for the company states, "We began the event with a meet and greet and then provided a short presentation about DJI and Dronesetc.com. After that, we went to the back area where we had set up a number of stations for the customers to get hands on and learn all about DJI and piloting a drone."

The stations set up by the company covered basic drone knowledge, the DJI go app, preventative maintenance, firmware updates, FAA, and hands-on flight training. After the presentation, the company hosted an overview and a Q&A session.

"We had several people tell us how wonderful the entire event was, and that they would send in a review," declares the company spokesperson. He stated that attendees were excited to learn more about DJI NPE in general.

The company hosts a number of classes in their new pilot training program, which take place in various locations around the world, and gives insights and hands-on instruction on how to fly. The courses are free, and designed for first time pilots or anyone who wants to learn more about flying safely.

Courses include a full one hour training session held indoors, and an additional full one hour practice session held outdoors. Practice sessions are conducted in the presence of an experienced instructor.

The company spokesperson points out that spaces for classes are limited and that only 60 students are allowed to register for each location. The company urges anyone who is interested in taking a class to register early as seats tend to fill up quickly.

The company states that in light of the hosted event, classes are filling up even faster than before. As interested attendees learned more about the flight lessons, they began registering for upcoming classes. The event, states the company, was considered to be an overall success, with hundreds in attendance.
