The research has crystallized a set of traits and values that are common among the successful. She has captured her findings in her book "Success Strategies of Caribbean American Leaders in the United States."

She holds a doctorate in education with a major in organizational leadership from Nova Southeastern University, an MA in healthcare administration from Florida Atlantic University, and an MSc. in human resource management from Nova Southeastern University. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Society for Human Resource Management, the Hospitality Human Resource Association, Human Resource Association of Broward County, and National Association of Professional Women. She is also professionally affiliated with the Institute of Caribbean Studies in Washington, D.C.
