Lighthouse Treatment Center Alumni Program Hosts Karaoke Night

Anaheim, California - The Lighthouse Treatment Center, a drug and alcohol treatment facility in Anaheim, California, hosted a karaoke night for members of its Alumni Program on August 1, 2022 at the Anaheim Alana Club.

According to Sara Alba, Alumni Coordinator of the Lighthouse, the karaoke night is a positive activity that helps alumni stay connected to each other.

“Our alumni are like family,” Alba said. “We want them to stay involved in our program and to continue their recovery journey. We hold the karaoke event every first Friday of the month as a way to get our alumni to try something new, get out of their comfort zone and form positive connections in the community."

The Anaheim Alana Club has been a longtime partner of the Lighthouse in offering recovery meetings and resources to the community. The karaoke night is just one event that the treatment center and the club have collaborated on to provide fun and sober activities for its alumni.

Steve M., a member of the Lighthouse Alumni Program, shared that attending the event was an awesome experience. "I had a great time. Everyone is supportive and encourages you to give it a try," he said. "It's a great way to have some fun in recovery."

"The Lighthouse and the Anaheim Alana Club are important to my recovery," said Mitch E., another Lighthouse Alumni Program member. "Every month, I look forward to this event. There are many wonderful singers, and it's fantastic to witness people let loose in sobriety. I'm always confident that I'll see a familiar face here."
