Anaheim, California - The Lighthouse Treatment Center, a drug and alcohol treatment facility in Anaheim, California, joined the Orange County addiction recovery community for a Strides in Recovery Addiction Recovery Walk at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley on Saturday, June 4.
The Lighthouse Treatment Center sponsored the event along with other local businesses committed to helping those struggling with addiction.
"The Lighthouse Treatment Center is proud to support the Strides in Recovery Addiction Recovery Walk," said Lighthouse President & COO, Peter Davidson. "Addiction recovery is a difficult journey, but it can be taken with the help and support of others. This event is a great way to bring the community together to show our support and commitment."
Lighthouse Alumni and staff members were on hand to support those participating in the walk and to offer resources and encouragement.
“The Strides in Recovery walk was a fantastic event,” said Misael G., a member of the Lighthouse Alumni Program. “We gathered to raise awareness and educate the community about programs that can save lives.”
"I felt accomplished completing this event. We shared stories of recovery and healing along the way. There was a lot of great support here. It gave me a feeling of pride to be a part of such an encouraging community," said Kimberly K., a Lighthouse Alumni Program participant who completed the walk.
The Strides in Recovery Addiction Recovery Walk was organized by Strides in Recovery, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people grow physically, emotionally, and mentally stronger so they can do their best at the hard work of addiction recovery.
