Three Van Gogh exhibits will be coming to Dallas in the coming month. The three exhibits are described as ‘immersive’ and are all but guaranteed to provide an unforgettable artistic experience for everyone involved. The three exhibits share similar names, with two being named ‘Immersive Van Gogh’ and the third being named ‘Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience.’ The three exhibits are designed to offer a unique look into the world of Van Gogh and, despite being somewhat similar on the surface, each of the exhibits has something unique and interesting to offer. One can find out more about the individual shows by reading an article that goes into great detail about the experience.

Not only do the three Van Gogh exhibitions have similar names, they also have similar websites, and the experiences they offer are also fairly similar considering that each aims to showcase the work of Van Gogh in an intimate setting. All of these similarities do mean that there has been a bit of confusion on the part of those looking to attend as the similarity of their names and websites makes it all but impossible for one to know which show is currently being spoken about. In June, ‘Immersive Van Gogh’ will put on a show followed by ‘Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience’ and the third is ‘Beyond Van Gogh: An Immersive Experience.’

Immersive Van Gogh has been seen by over two million visitors in Paris and had a sold out show in Toronto. The show will now be coming to make its mark in Dallas, and many in the area are very excited about it. “Lose yourself in 500,000 cubic feet of monumental projections animating Vincent van Gogh’s oeuvre,” says Immersive Van Gogh through their website. “Wander through entrancing, moving images that highlight brushstrokes, detail and color — truly illuminating the mind of the genius. You will be immersed in Van Gogh’s works — from his sunny landscapes and night scenes to his portraits and still life paintings. The installation includes the Mangeurs de pommes de terre (The Potato Eaters, 1885), the Nuit étoilée (Starry Night, 1889), Les Tournesols (Sunflowers, 1888), and La Chambre à coucher (The Bedroom, 1889) and so much more. Astonishing in scale and breathtakingly imaginative, you will experience Van Gogh’s art in a completely new and unforgettable way.”

Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience allows attendees to essentially step into a Van Gogh painting. Using cutting edge technology, like 360 degree projections, 15000 square foot screens and virtual reality, the show offers a breathtaking, memorable experience for all who choose to attend, and many who have attended the show before have gone so far as to call it a breathtaking exhibit.

Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, the third of the three similarly named Van Gogh shows, promises a stunning journey into the world of Vincent Van Gogh. The show’s site says, “In an imaginative and immersive presentation crafted for our unique times by world renowned audiovisual designers, Beyond Van Gogh uses cutting-edge projection technology to create an engaging journey into the world of Van Gogh. Using his dreams, his thoughts and his words to drive the experience as a narrative, we move along projection swathed walls wrapped in light, color and shapes that swirl, dance and refocus into flowers, cafes and landscapes. Masterpieces, now freed from frames, come alive, appear and disappear, flow across multi-surfaces, the minutia of details titillating our heightened senses. Through his own words set to a symphonic score, we may come to a new appreciation of this tortured artist’s stunning work.”

A number of Dallas businesses, including The Barber Law Firm, have posted blog articles talking about the upcoming Van Gogh shows. Members of the Dallas art scene are very excited about the upcoming exhibits, and local businesses like The Barber Law firm and many others have been putting out announcements and articles explaining that there are three shows coming to town in an effort to help attendees avoid getting confused.

All three exhibits provide a way in which art enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the work of Van Gogh through three dimensional, multimedia exhibitions featuring over 300 of the famous painters’ works. Those interested in attending are encouraged to double and triple check before purchasing their tickets to ensure that they have the tickets for the show they wish to see and not one of the other two.
