Vice President of Global Retail for UPS, Nick Basford, commented, “The leveling out of returns across many days can largely be attributed to shifting purchasing habits accelerated by a global pandemic.”

UPS is not the shipping carrier that has been directly affected by these trends. Major shipping carriers such as FedEx and DHL are also experiencing historically high shipping volumes this year and expect the trend to continue.
