Lighthouse Treatment Center Hosts Thanksgiving Event For Its Alumni

Anaheim, California - Lighthouse Treatment Center, a drug and alcohol treatment facility in Anaheim, California hosted a Thanksgiving event as part of its alumni program called the Lighthouse Alumni Friendsgiving. The event was held on November 21, 2020 at the Lighthouse campus.

The Lighthouse Alumni Friendsgiving event was organized to provide a safe place for alumni to celebrate all the things that sobriety has brought to their lives. It started with a gratitude meeting followed by a potluck dinner. The gathering was held outdoors and attendees were asked to wear face masks to respect social distancing guidelines.

Sara Alba, Alumni Coordinator for the Lighthouse said that the Friendsgiving event gave members of their alumni program an opportunity to celebrate Thanksgiving with like-minded people who are in recovery.

“Personally, the alumni program has been a huge part of my sobriety journey. This Friendsgiving event allowed me to celebrate Thanksgiving with people who are important to me and this is also the case with many of our alumni members,” said Sara.

Ari L., a Lighthouse alumna shared that the Friendsgiving event is a reminder that she has so much to be grateful for.

“The Lighthouse Alumni events are always something I get to look forward to. I had such an amazing time fellowshipping and celebrating Thanksgiving with my recovery family. I have so much to be grateful for and the lighthouse alumni program is a big part of that,” said Ari.
