Greene County, Ala. - Alabama Bail Bonds, a trusted bonding company in Greene County, AL, is highlighting this year’s upcoming continuing education classes hosted by the Alabama Bail Bond Association. Every year, bail bondsmen around the state are required to complete continuing education classes to remain licensed bail bondsmen. However, with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19), this year’s required classes will look a little different than in years past.
Continuing education classes will be offered in two format options: in-person and via Zoom. The upcoming event will be in Montgomery, Alabama over four days for those wishing to join in-person. These same classes can also be attended via Zoom throughout the state for those wishing to remain at home. Offering the courses in-person and via Zoom will allow for smaller class sizes, helping to fight the spread of COVID-19. This decision was made as a creative way to allow for counting education classes to still be offered while putting the health and safety of the bail bonds community first.
Every class will also offer the opportunity to become certified in either handcuffing or de-escalation, depending on the class date. The first counting education class is set to begin on Thursday, September 24. The last class will conclude on Saturday, October 10. There will be a total of four classes offered on ethics in bail, featuring Phillip Kinney. Anyone interested in attending the courses can register online through the Alabama Bail Bonds Association website.
