Mobile, AL Indoor Plant Design Company Wins “Most Outstanding Florida Landscape Award” In Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association International Competition

Mobile, Ala. – Recently, the nation's largest nursery and landscape association, the Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA), announced the winners of its 2019 International Award Competition during The 2019 Landscape Show in Orlando, FL. Nationally, landscape contractors, designers and architects were recognized for their outstanding work. The awards were presented for an array of projects including New Landscape Installations, Renovations, and Maintenance Undertakings. The premier Mobile, AL indoor plant design company, Heroman Services Plant Company won three of the top awards, including the industry’s most prestigious landscape award, the Roy S. Rood Award for Most Outstanding Landscape in the State of Florida.

The landscape contractor for the project was Heroman Services Plant Co. and Outdoor Expressions, Atlanta, GA. The design was created by Landscape Architects Cerys Heroman, RLA, Heroman Services Plant Company, and Allan Sturletz, RLA, Creative Scapes, Inc.

Owner of Heroman Services Plant Company, Pat Heroman, stated, “The objective was to create from over an acre of undeveloped waterfront property a Mediterranean landscape to complement a recently renovated, nineteenth century-inspired Spanish farmhouse.”

Heroman Services also received The Floriculture Award, judged to be the entry showcasing the most effective use of plant material creating color and texture in the landscape in Mobile, AL and the Landscape Installation/Renovation Award for residences.
