Norfolk's Hidden Gems, based in Norfolk, UK, has been offering holiday homes to people who plan to stay in Norfolk for a holiday for many years. One recent addition is Coastguard Cottage, which is a 4-bedroom semi-detached home with a capacity to house 8 people. It is located on the coastal path East of Weybourne. It is uniquely located by the edge of the cliff-top and it is within easy reach from Sheringham to the East. The cottage offers a quiet location on top of a 40-foot cliff overlooking the North Norfolk Coast. More about the Coastguard Cottage can be gleaned from https://www.norfolkshiddengems.co.uk/holiday-cottage/coastguard-cottage/.

Kevin Conroy, the owner of Norfolk's Hidden Gems, says, “Coastguard Cottage is something different, quite an experience. This Cottage has just that something, encouraging friends and/or families to make memories they can treasure. Some cottages have character, this one is characterful with a capital C by the sea. Historically the actual coastguard lookout station for Weybourne on the North Norfolk coast; the duty room is now the living room.”

Coastguard Cottage old duty room

The 40-foot cliff provides a dramatic view but is made safe by newly installed fencing. The owner has also recently set up solar electricity because the property is off-grid. And once inside the cottage, guests will begin to get a feel for the history and character of the property.

The living room is on the first floor and was the old coastguard duty room used constantly to keep a lookout over that part of the North Norfolk coast. It now affords an exceptional view from the property.

On the ground floor is the dining room where there is a large table and lots of room for seating. There is an open fireplace and there are bookcases all around. Those who are interested can learn more about this holiday home by visiting their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/coastguardcottageweybourne/.

The front and side of the Coastguard Cottage has a lawn and the area is surrounded by fencing and high hedges. The driveway is long enough to accommodate several vehicles. Thus, guests can bring several cars, and even a boat or a sailing dinghy. And just outside the main gate of the Coastguard Cottage is a swing gate that allows people to enter the Norfolk Coastal Path.

A nearby town is the popular coastal town of Sheringham with several amenities, such as a steam train, which can be seen passing the property from some of the upper floor bedroom windows on its way to Holt.

This town has a number of activities and events throughout the year. It has several local shops and there is a small Tesco store on the coast road. Guests can also visit the beachfront Life-Boat museum. And there are also a number of pubs and restaurants that provide a view of the sea.

Aside from Coastguard Cottage, there are many more holidays available for rent through Norfolk’s Hidden Gems. Examples are Pebble House, Cherry Tree Cottage, Nan's Cottage, Park Farm Barn and Courtyard Barn.

Pebble House is one of the dog-friendly cottages in Norfolk. It has the capacity for six people with its three large bedrooms. The Cherry Tree Cottage and Nan's Cottage are located near the edge of the Briston village. They are a very cosy cottage that mix red brick and flint on their exterior to provide that typical Norfolk Cottage feel. They have the capacity for four or six people respectively. They overlook acres of arable farmland to provide that countryside feeling.
