OC Fair 2019: Lighthouse Alumni Attend This Year’s Acres of Fun

Anaheim, California – The Lighthouse Treatment Center, a drug and alcohol residential treatment facility in Anaheim, CA, is sponsoring a trip for its alumni members to the OC Fair 2019, which opens on the 12th of July to the 11th of August. This trip is a part of the weekly events the Lighthouse Alumni Program organizes for its participants during the summer season.

The OC Fair is one of the most loved summer events in Southern California. In 2018, more than 1.4 million people attended the event. Attendees love that the OC Fair has something to offer for the entire family with food stalls, carnival rides, games, live music, free shows, exhibits, shopping, farm animals, contests, and more.

Katie R, another Lighthouse Alumni shared that she never misses the chance to attend the OC Fair with the Lighthouse team so she takes her family every year. “The OC fair is my favorite Alumni event! I've been bringing my family every year for the last 4 years. It's awesome to be able to bring my family to a fun event that also gets me and my husband back together with our fellow alumni and friends in recovery. Thank you, Lighthouse and OC Fair, for such a great event that we look forward to each year!”

A day at the Orange County Fair has always been one of the biggest events of the Lighthouse Alumni Program’s summer calendar for the past several years. All participants attend the OC Fair as a group and each alumnus receives an unlimited ride wristband as well. This year, the theme of the OC Fair is Acres of Fun and it promises to be as exciting as the years before.

According to Lighthouse alumni Dana K, attending the event is an enjoyable way to spend valuable time with her fellow alumni and make lasting friendships with like-minded people. “I have an absolute blast with my new friends in sobriety at the OC Fair! Thank you, Lighthouse,” she said.
