Nova Graphene is proud to announce that it has established its Canadian corporate offices at The Centre for Ocean Ventures & Entrepreneurship (COVE) - a collaborative facility for applied innovation in the ocean sector located in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Nova Graphene CEO, Paul Beasant feels that “Nova Graphene and the COVE are a great match, as we share a joint mission: to propel the ocean economy by providing high-quality marine infrastructure and advanced materials with our CarbonEra™ Graphene products. Through the outstanding laboratory results that we are getting independently, as well as through partnerships with renowned research institutions like Dalhousie, McGill, and UOIT, we know CarbonEra™ Graphene products will play a big part in the evolution of many aspects of the Commercial and Military Marine sectors.”

From its new COVE headquarters, Nova Graphene has continued product development and formulations including for resins, coatings, expansion foams, lubricants, and additive manufacturing applications.

Nova Graphene’s vision is to also introduce its Graphene formulations into almost every aspect of the Marine Industry. This includes: highly advance waterproof cements;more environmentally friendly docks & pilings made from extruded recycled plastics, antifouling coatings that don’t require sacrificial metals or biocides, coatings that shed Ice in frozen conditions, lighter and stronger boat structures, state of the art ballistic armor light enough that it floats.

Located in what was once the Canadian Coast Guard facility on Halifax Harbour, the COVE hub is home to local and global ocean technology businesses, post-secondary institutions, researchers, and marine-based and service businesses that support the ocean sector. The COVE site features extensive marine facilities with two large, deep-water piers, office space, an incubator and space for shops and labs.

Nova Graphene is proud to be part of a community that brings together the best and the brightest to push ocean tech advances to market. An environment that fosters innovation and cross-pollinates expertise, ideas, and resources among members, COVE is where business growth, opportunity, and technical advances happen.

The advances that are developed through COVE will have practical, commercial and revolutionary applications in ocean tech. There is a global need for ocean tech solutions. The impact of what happens at COVE has local, provincial, national and international significance.
