Awards & Engraving, a Houston TX trophies and awards company, is proud to announce that they have sponsored a back to school event for teachers and faculties for their district, which is known as the GCCISD Back to School academy. They also provided lunch for everyone at the event.

Michelle Bitterly from Awards & Engraving says: "We were so proud to sponsor and attend the Goose Creek CISD Education Foundation Student Choice Awards Banquet. Congratulations to all the deserving teachers. A big thank you to the sponsors in making this event possible."

The GCCISD is a nonprofit organization that partners with the entire community to enable people to have access to the resources required to inspire learning, enrich teaching, and focus on excellence in education. Formed in 2009, the foundation has made great strides towards improving educational standards in the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District and they believe in recognizing those who have made it possible. This is something that Awards & Engraving strongly believes in as well. Offering awards engraving in Houston, they have played a part in recognizing and awarding excellence in a variety of local and national businesses and organization. And because they are also committed to philanthropy, they have sponsored the latest GCCISD event.

This particular event was designed to recognize the winners of the Student Choice awards. This was an opportunity for young people to honor their teachers. The event is an annual awards event that has had a huge positive impact on the community as a whole, which is one of the reasons why Awards & Engraving was so excited to able to sponsor it. Michelle Bitterly continues: "When young people want to recognize their teachers for playing an excellent role in their education, we want to ensure they are empowered to do so. We see this annual event as one of the most important in our town."

The event has been running for nine consecutive years now. Each time, 15 seniors are given the chance to attend the banquet and honor their favorite teachers. This year's event took place at the Royal Purple Raceway's Woodforest Bank Tower Club and Awards & Engraving took responsibility for providing lunch. Members of the Committee were also present, who reviewed the 600+ letters that had been sent in to honor teachers, of which the final 15 were chosen.

Michelle Bitterly points out that: "The event would not be possible without sponsorship from local businesses. This year, we joined forces with a number of other organizations and the Texas Roadhouse donated the meal, while we sponsored the lunch and the awards."

At the event itself, Michelle Bitterly also led the pledge, with each sponsor having been given a special role in making the event possible. The nominated teachers were then brought forward and recognized. They each received a plaque, which had also been donated by Awards & Engraving. Students, meanwhile, were presented with a gift card, as were the teachers. The plaques that had been donated by the company can be seen on their website at www.awards-engraving.com.

Teachers from across the district were recognized for their contributions to education. The students' letters, meanwhile, were heartfelt and truly impressive. Amanda T., for instance, who decided to give recognition to her teacher Pam B., said: "I want to be an elementary school teacher one day and hope that I can be the kind of teacher she is. Mrs. Bradford taught me to love learning, which I want to pass on, not just to my children someday, but also to each of my students in the future."

Meanwhile, Awards & Engraving is also encouraging others to become involved in the foundation, to support their vital work. Contributions can be made through the foundation's website. Michelle says: "The foundation plays a pivotal role in enhancing student achievement in our area by supporting educational excellence. They do so by not just recognizing excellence in members of the teaching community, but also by fostering support from the entire community. They were established in 2009 and have made such a fantastic difference to our town that we encourage everyone to support them."

To date, the GCCISD Education Foundation has been able to donate over $1 million in grants over the past nine years, directly impacting the community as a whole. Awards & Engraving has pledged to continue to support the foundation in any way they can. They organize regular annual events and galas, with an upcoming All Star Gala still needing more sponsors. Awards & Engraving encourages people to dig deep and to support the work of this foundation in any way they can, since it means that they would be also supporting young people's education.
