Steve Cox, a man struggling with one of the rarest forms of brain cancer, has published the book titled, "Some Other Son, Escaping the Foster Care System," which is a biography of Joe Parker. The book details the experiences of Parker in the foster care system in the 1970's and 1980's, particularly the challenges he had to face to survive the system as a child and later on to succeed as an adult.

Steve, who is based in New Hampshire, is a published author (http://www.stevecoxbooks.com), having written two inspirational memoirs. In December 2015, he published his memoir, 'If You Love Me Take Me Now', which chronicled his family's battle with cancer. He had also published 'No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service - A Hitchhiking Memoir' in October 2013.

Steve's latest book is an inspirational biography of how Joe Parker was able to beat the odds in the foster care system where most people in his situation are destined for failure. Joe's life was challenged by circumstances beyond his control. Joe's perseverance and desire to survive and succeed, are expected to inspire readers as they are brought into the world of growing up as a foster child. Steve encourages people to follow him on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Steve-Cox-Books-250652902010575 to find out more about the book.

Joe Parker says: "It was an easy decision to work with Steve as I find him and his survival of his debilitating illness an inspiration to us all. I consider it an honor to have Steve pen the biography of my life in the foster care system. Hopefully the book will have a successful impact on its audience, especially those currently in the foster care system and those considering becoming foster parents."

Steve adds: "Joe's story is very unique when compared to the Foster Care System statistics, which show that most in situations similar to Joe are destined for failure through no fault of their own. I am equally as delighted to have been tasked with the honor of writing his biography."

Unusual, if not paranormal events illuminate Joe's path through life and are expected to evoke thoughts of spirituality in many readers of this said biography. Many readers of Some Other Son (https://twitter.com/SomeOtherSon1) may be able to recognize Joe Parker as one of the half-brothers from Massachusetts who met by chance on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii, on April 18, 2011. This was a globally publicized phenomena that captured the interest of many all over the world.
