Las Vegas -- Recognizing that up to 30% of an aircraft’s value depends on the condition and contents of the logbooks, Clay Lacy Aviation has signed an agreement to use the V-Log Aircraft Digital Logbook system to protect all aircraft under management for 2016.

Larry Hinebaugh, CEO and founder of V-Log Aircraft Digital Logbooks, developed the product as a response to a need he recognized in his 35 years in valuing aircraft.

Clay Lacy Aviation, the pioneering client of the V-Log system, saw the potential value of V-Log’s Aircraft Digital Logbook. There was a need for a product like V-Log that priovides a simple, secure, searchable and easy to use digital record of an aircraft's maintenance history.

A team of Clay Lacy technicians from the inspections department were enlisted to examine and evaluate the V-Log software. The benefits of the software were soon apparent and they began implementing V-Log and training top technicians in its operation. “Clay Lacy Aviation’s main draw to V-Log was the search engine Larry created,” said Dave Heredia, 145 Repair Station and 135 Chief Inspector.  “Its unique search capability can scan all records in seconds. It’s incredibly fast – the best I’ve ever seen.”

To place an aircraft on the V-Log system, V-Log representatives came to the facility, took the logbooks off site to scan them with professional scanning equipment, and returned them the next day.  Then the records are fully searchable and available securely and remotely, making data and record sharing across geographical distances no longer an issue.

This is particularly helpful as Clay Lacy Aviation performs maintenance at Boeing Field Airport in Seattle (BFI) and McClellan-Palomar Airport in San Diego (CRQ). If a technician in California needs information on an aircraft in Seattle or New York all they need to do is access V-Log’s online database.

“Larry and the leadership at V-Log have been very aggressive at improving the product, nothing in our industry comes close to offering the search capability and ease of use that V-Log does,” says Clay Lacy Aviation President & CEO Brian Kirkdoffer.

About V-Log Aircraft Digital Logbooks

V-Log was founded by Larry Hinebaugh to  protect the value of aircraft by duplicating paper records, or backup PDFS into a cloud database, giving instantaneous search results.  This includes 8130s and any other document customers need to search regularly and efficiently in the entire logbook.

V-Log offers a fully functioning Aircraft Digital Logbook (ADL) that is an exact copy of the aircraft’s paper record, or any digital information required, and which is located on a secure cloud server, providing password protected access from any computer 24/7.

V-Log’s ADL is fully compliant with FAA Advisory Circular 120-78 Electronic Record Keeping, so your aircraft’s records are secure, accessible, searchable, and safe.

V-Log was founded by Larry Hinebaugh who, with over 35 years of aircraft maintenance experience, felt compelled to create a solution that would protect aircraft value and facilitate logbook best practices. V-Log is that solution.
