Norristown General Contractor Announces The Completion Of A Major Luxury Composite Deck Project

Jack Strogus, spokesman and President of PenVal Construction, a Norristown PA General Contractor recently announced the completion of a Luxury Composite Deck project in the King of Prussia, PA area. The job involved the demolition of a 30 year old, 320 square foot, pressure treated wood deck, pouring new concrete footers, replacing the old deck as well as expanding the deck another 320 square feet, and adding a small porch roof.

Strogus explains that the homeowners were concerned because the deck was so old and showing signs of structural weakness that they might have a problem. Their concerns were also heightened because the deck was 10 feet off the ground. Strogus also mentioned the homeowner was hoping to reduce the annual maintenance and upkeep costs, in both time and money, with the new deck.

Because of the extensive wear on the deck, the deterioration of many of the supporting framework and posts, and the homeowner’s desire to have a sturdy, low maintenance deck, the project required expertise it many different areas such as demolition and debris removal, carpentry, roofing, and a current, working, knowledge of today’s new composite decking materials.
