VanNuys, Califonia: El Camino Christian College (ECCC) is about to start its fall semester and still has a few unclaimed scholarships that it is looking to give away. 100% of the students enrolled in degree programs in the El Camino partnership with Hillsdale College receive financial aid.
Pastor Jim Tolle founded ECCC as a way to assist people who ready to say “Yes” to their calling into ministry. In doing so he took into account the challenges that most people face while trying to go to bible school. Over 90% of the students enrolled in academic courses are employed. El Camino Christian College understands that all students need flexibility in their schedule and course delivery. Thus, academic courses are offered online in eight-week formats and include intensive interaction with the professor and fellow students.
“There are people out there who feel the calling to serve God in formal capacity but don’t know where to start. Often they are told that they would strongly benefit from going to Bible College as it will prepare them for the challenges of ministry,” stated Raul Meza a member of El Camino Metro. Meza went on to share, “The problem is that nobody will tell them how they are supposed to do that while they work full time and support a family. Money and time is factor and a road block for most people who want to say “Yes” to God’s calling for their lives. This is not the case for students who attend El Camino Christian College.”
The university degree programs offered at El Camino Christian College are offered in partnership with Hillsdale College which is nationally accredited and recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Thus, all college courses are accredited and Federal Financial Aid is available for qualified students. ECCC currently offer a Bachelor of Arts, Associate of Arts, Baccalaureate Certificate, and Master of Arts.
“Why fight the calling,” asked Meza. “In fact if you want to know for sure if this is your calling, you can simply speak to Dr. Paul Chappell, the Provost of El Camino Christian College. He is really good at talking to you, helping discern your calling and seeing if this is the right path for you. You’re going to have peace after finally speaking to someone about the tugging in your heart which might be God calling you into ministry.”
ECCC has set up a number for any person who would like to ask questions concerning the school, the application process, or the scholarships. You may call Dr. Chappell directly at 818-577-8170 or email him at paulchappell1971@yahoo.com.
El Camino Christian College is a Spirit-filled educational center designed to raise up a new generation of qualified, Spirit-formed and Spirit-empowered servant-leaders to provide transformational leadership in the Church and marketplace vocations.
