Tea Tree Oil Found To Help Clear Up Sore Throats

New Buffalo, Michigan company Network for Wellness LLC has recently released their essential oils aromatherapy kit. This kit includes tea tree oil, which has been shown to have numerous health benefits. As one of these benefits, it has been found to help clear up a sore throat.

Bridgette Swanson, from Network for Wellness LLC, says, "Tea tree oil has been used by the Aboriginal people of Australia for thousands of years for a variety of health conditions. Scientists have been fascinated by this product since it was brought back to Europe by explorer James Cook, and they have now found that it can even help clear up a sore throat and other cold and flu symptoms."

Tea tree oil can be used in a variety of different ways, including for aromatherapy. Its strong antibacterial and antifungal properties mean that it has often been used as a hair product, to fight dandruff and even head lice. It has now been found that it can also stop cold flu symptoms in their tracks, if applied on time.

"To get the most benefit of tea tree oil for a sore throat or other cold and flu symptoms, it is vital to address these symptoms as soon as they appear," adds Bridgette Swanson. "As soon as someone starts to feel a scratch or itch in their throat, they should apply a drop of tea tree oil to their finger and gently suck it off. If they do this in time, the bacteria that caused the sore throat will not have a chance to colonize and actually start an illness."

Besides sucking on the tea tree oil, it is also beneficial to apply a few drops of the oil to the tonsil area on the outside of the throat. When gently rubbed in, the millions of molecules found in the essential oil are absorbed by the body and make their way to the throat area. Finally, applying a few drops to the foot, or even to socks, allows these molecules to travel all over the body, addressing any other fungi and bacteria that may be present.
