Children's book author Michelle Longega Wilson, who is only nine years old, has announced that her new book "Lost in Venice" will soon be available. The book, which is scheduled to be released next week, is the second in a series of bilingual books entitled, "The Adventures of Giulia," which will help young ones learn vocabulary in two different languages.

According to her blog at http://michellelongegawilson.com/, in "Lost in Venice," the children travel with the main character, Giulia, as she journeys to Venice, Italy at Carnival time to visit her cousin Isabella. As Wilson describes the story, the two girls, Giulia and Isabella, are complete opposites. Those who have already read her first book know that Giulia is a child who is never afraid to try new things, and a lover of adventure. However, Isabella is an insecure child who tends to be a little on the cautious side. To get her through many of the challenges they face, Giulia calls on her magical unicorn, "Sparkle" to help her when things get a little crazy.

The new story will take the two girls on many adventures as they visit famous places like Rialto, Murano, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and more. Along the way, amazing things will happen when they get lost in the beautiful city of Venice. As usual, the book will not just deliver a great story to the young readers, it will also teach them a little about the culture and history of Venice as well.

Michelle introduced Giulia to the world in her first book, "The Girl With the Magical Unicorn." The magical unicorn, which she received as a gift, takes Giulia to different places around the world. In each place, she experiences a different adventure, and a chance to learn many new and exciting things. The situations she gets herself into require her to use her problem solving skills, courage, and her imagination.

The author, Michelle Longega Wilson, has already mastered the ability to speak French, Italian, and English at her young age. She says, she loves to speak different languages because, she states, "it gives me the chance to understand and talk to more people." She also points out that her tri-lingual talents expose her to even more books, which can inspire her to read more. And her inspiration to write is a natural extension of her love of books and the adventures she can experience when reading them.

Her writing has appealed to both children and adults alike. As one reader commented on her first book,

"It's been inspiring to read a book written from a child writer for children. The story of Giulia and her unicorn adventures explores different places and cultures. In a very simple and magical way, it approaches learning about the world in a very exciting manner and allows even the adult reader to see the world with the eye of a wandering child."

While many believe that Michelle's books will have wide appeal among young children, they feel it will be especially encouraging to children living in bilingual households or those living abroad with their families as they work to incorporate a new language in their lives.
