The DEET Wilderness 1.25 Ounce Pump Spray is small enough to fit in the pocket or the palm of the hand, and is designed to be compact and easy to stow for individual use. It uses the same formula as the rest of the Ben's line, a DEET-based repellent with 30% DEET that provides up to 8 hours of protection. The formula is effective against ticks and biting insects that may carry infectious diseases. According to Anna Loehwing, COO of First Aid Shoppe, the formula is engineered to evaporate slowly so the repellent stays on longer with little absorption into the skin.
"A little over one ounce in size this little bottle fits easily fits in a day pack or pants pocket for portable protection," says Ms. Loehwing. "It's like our mantra: Don’t get bitten, get Ben's."
All Ben's products use DEET, usually in a 30% compound ratio. DEET has been in use for decades and is proven to repel ticks, mosquitoes, fleas and a wide range of biting insects. The compact 1.25 ounce bottle adds to the options in the Ben's line-up, offering a smaller alternative for carrying in a pocket or other small area when space is at a premium.
