EUGENE, Ore., May 6, 2016—For Mother's Day, Express Employment Professionals, among the most respected staffing agencies in Eugene, OR, launched survey results revealing the mindsets of working parents. The survey of 1,059 working mothers and fathers was carried out in May 2016.
The study of 390 companies, which are previous and existing customers of Express Employment Professionals, was carried out in April 2016. Participants were asked, “Would you work if you didn’t have to?” Sixty-two percent of working moms stated "yes," compared with 69 percent of working dads who stated the exact same.
In addition, Express launched results from a study of companies on the treatment of moms and dads in the work environment. Participants were asked, “Do you provide maternity leave for the birth or adoption of a child?” Three-quarters (75 percent) of the businesses stated, “yes.”
When it pertains to paternity leave, nevertheless, the story is a bit contrasting. Simply under half of the surveyed companies (49 percent) supply paternity leave.
A lot of companies do provide other advantages as well, according to the study. Two-thirds (67 percent) stated they allow working dads and moms to benefit from more versatile work hours, while 26 percent stated they supply other types of benefits, and 7 percent reported enabling working moms and dads to telecommute.
“My personal experience with working moms and dads has been terrific,” said Renee Loheed, branch manager of the Eugene Express office. “When an organization values family and commitment, showing a little flexibility to working parents as they juggle work and life priorities, comes back in spades.”
“On behalf of the entire Express team in Eugene, I hope you all have a Happy Mother’s Day!” added Loheed.
