An accommodation camp in Karratha, WA, Australia, has announced that they have hired a new activities coordinator. His role will be to support the positive physical and mental well-being of guests at the accommodation camp. Both are looking forward to a long professional relationship.

"We are pleased to have a new activities coordinator on board as we can now offer even more value to our guests" says Dominic Letts from Searipple Village, who is in charge of the accommodation management.

The Searipple Village Karratha has been running weekly classes and activities for some time and they have proven to be very popular. They now have two organised 5-a-side soccer nights and eight fitness classes per week. Additionally, they have a weekly boot camp, weights, cardio and partner exercises, abs classes and more. Each of these classes are very well-attended.

One of the first things the new activities coordinator did was add more varied activities. "Recently I have added Yoga to the program on Wednesday nights," he says. "Yoga, I believe, is going to coincide well with the other classes whilst being positive to the residents mental well-being."

The new activities coordinator has a lot of experience in program design, nutrition and monthly gym challenges. Additionally, he conducts fitness tests and body fat percentage testing. He also has a lot of experience organising excursions, something that the Karratha accommodation camp hopes to be able to implement in their program offerings as well.

There is now also a stronger focus on nutrition. The new activities coordinator has already developed a number of nutrition articles and these are all on display in the mess for residents to look at. The camp believes that the physical and mental well-being of their residents is the most important thing to maintain. They want to offer various programs to enhance this well-being. They encourage residents to discuss their needs and desires as well, as this could lead to the development of new programs.
