Electronic Reviews Provider and Technology Expert Explains How to Share “On This Day” Archival Posts on Instagram

The question came from an Instagram user who noticed another user posting an “On This Day” entry on his or her Stories. The question is how to gain access to On This Day archival content to be able to do the same.

To be able to create a Story on Instagram, the user goes the Creator screen by swiping from left to right. The user will then swipe along the icons near the bottom of the screen to find the stopwatch, which is for “On This Day.” Instagram will choose an older post and offer that as the basis for a new Story. After making the desired edits to the post, the user can share it to friends and followers by tapping on the arrow on the lower right. There are various options how to share the Story. It can be widely disseminated widely so that it will also be shared on Facebook. The Story can also be shared to a limited number of people, such as close friends only. Or the user can choose specific people only among his or her friends.
