For over 27 years now the skilled technicians at McHenry Roofing have been keeping Baltimore area roofs looking good and watertight. The company has made an announcement that this will not change during the current coronavirus scare. As of right now, they are still out taking care of any roofing needs that their customers ask the company to do for them. They realize that many roofing problems simply cannot wait to be resolved and that their customers need the peace of mind that a properly repaired roof brings.

Company spokesperson, Joseph Conley, had this to say about the need for them to still be out working in this difficult time, “These are certainly unusual and stressful times in Baltimore and elsewhere around the country. Nobody needs to add to that stress by having a roof that is leaking or put off repairs that will keep their roof structurally sound. That’s exactly why we have decided to stay open during the current pandemic that is impacting so many in the USA and around the world. After meeting with my staff and employees, we decided that if we followed certain practices, we could reasonably expect to get our jobs completed with minimal risk of spreading the virus. We have a commitment to those we have served all of these years and we are determined to not even let the coronavirus stop us from making sure that our customers' roofing needs are met.”

Conley did admit that although they will still be doing roof repairs, things will not be totally business as usual for the company. Among the changes is that the crew will be taking ‘social distancing’ very seriously. He says their crews are known for ringing the doorbell and announcing their presence with a warm hello. That will no longer be done in the interest of keeping both customers and crew members safe. Instead, they will call the customer when their team members are on the way and exchange hellos from a safe distance. Conley says that his crews will also be wearing masks and whatever other gear they deem necessary to keep them safe from each other as well. He also says they have pledges from all of their roofing techs that if they begin to feel ill, then they will quarantine themselves at home until a determination can be made as to whether or not they may have the coronavirus. Conley stated that they will do whatever it takes to protect their crews and customers during this highly unusual and concerning crisis.

The company spokesperson added that they regret that inspections and estimates can no longer be done on a face to face basis either. He says they will still be doing roof inspections but when they are done the explanation of the problems they have found and the subsequent repair costs will be discussed over the phone. This will help keep everyone safe while continuing forward with the roof repair process. Conley says this is an ongoing situation that they do not take lightly at all. It is also subject to change if federal, state or local governments determine that the situation is bad enough to warrant that businesses like theirs cease operations for a few weeks. Until that time, he says the teams at McHenry Roofing will be out doing their usual high-quality roofing work.

Conley also wanted to remind people that this is the perfect time of year to get roofing work done despite the current coronavirus crisis. Soon wetter spring weather will arrive and that’s not the time that anyone wants to have a roof that’s in a state of disrepair. He says that McHenry Roofing is proud to be a full-service residential and commercial roofing contractor. They handle everything from minor roof repairs to complete roof replacements. The company spokesperson says they also are well-known for their waterproofing and gutter replacement services. For those that are looking to brighten up their homes by adding an energy-saving skylight to their roof, Conley says they have an excellent article about that subject on the company website.
