Stage 4 BreastCancer Survivor Shares Inspiring Healing Journey

Mesa, AZ – A stage 4 patient whose cancer recurred after 10 years has shared her inspiring story of healing with the help of a renowned alternative cancer care center.

Shirley M. was diagnosed with breast cancer a decade ago. She underwent conventional cancer treatments—mastectomy and chemotherapy—and got her second lease in life. Earlier this year, she felt a knot under her arm, had it checked and found that she had stage 4 bone cancer. Knowing that she could not, once again, go through the aggressive treatments she had 10 years ago, she sought out an alternative path and found An Oasis of Healing.

The Arizona-based healing facility was founded by integrative oncology and metabolic medicine expert Dr. Thomas Lodi. The center is known for its effective use of holistic and integrative therapies, anchored on three pillars: stopping the body from ‘making cancer’, targeting cancer without harming the body and enhancing the immune system.

Here, Shirley was given a tailor-fit healing and wellness program which included hyperthermia and lymphatic therapy. Hyperthermia is a type of cancer treatment wherein the body tissue is exposed to high temperature to damage cancer cells and cause tumors to shrink. Lymphatic therapy involves use of inert gas ionization to clear the lymphatic system and boost the immune system.

When she first came to the center, Shirley’s cancer had spread to her bones, breast and liver. After completing the treatment plan, her PET (positron emission tomography) scan came back with astounding results—the tumors were gone.

“I never would have dreamed how caring and passionate everybody is here. Every person here cares truly and does their best to help and encourage,” Shirley said of her experience. “If everybody knew about this healing center, they could forego all the negative side effects of conventional oncology.”

According to Dr. Lodi, the goal is not to wage a war against cancer because ultimately, the patient’s body and overall wellness will also suffer.

“What we do instead is incorporate alternative and conventional medical services with natural healing modalities, a raw plant-based diet and a unique educational program to help patients reclaim their health,” he explained. “This way, we don’t just eliminate cancer. We fortify the body, mind and spirit so that it is no longer a fit host for disease.”
