Meredith Gardner of The Strategic Edge and Strategic CIO Solutions has announced that she can be invited to talk on radio or TV about the F word in leadership, which is 'followership', and discuss how to fix it. Gardner herself has conducted numerous interviews, including as a guest host on television and radio, asking people whether they have heard of followership, which few have. Yet, for Gardner, if there are more leaders, or top dogs, available, then they should also be investing in the underdogs, the followers, as they exist in greater numbers. She points out that both leadership and followership are important but efforts for improvement are skewed in favor of leadership. Further information on this is available at www.strategic-edge.com.

Gardner says: "I'd like to be a guest on talk radio/TV. I sure would like to have conversations with people on radio/TV about the need to educate followers … what qualities it takes to be an excellent follower. To my knowledge, nobody (or, if there are, I don't know them yet) is talking about this epidemic: no or limited education for followers."

Meredith points out that she is a problem solver when it comes to difficult work situations. She deals with high-powered executives and average working Joes. She is the founder and owner of The Strategic Edge, a management consulting firm specializing in personality and consequences of behavior, delivering coaching and group programs to improve overall working relationships. She has appeared on Bloomberg News, Wall Street Journal Radio Network and Voice of America. She's a former radio host so she knows what listeners want to hear. Her full credentials can also be seen at www.strategic-cio-solutions.com.

She adds about her upcoming guest appearances: "I love being a guest because I love being provocative. And I am someone who is a story teller. I love imparting new information, getting people to think in new and creative directions. I am to show businesses the need for followers, as they are there to support their leaders. This is not of either/or importance. Rather, both are important. However, efforts are skewed in favor of leaders."

Meredith Gardner, Ph.D., is an animated international speaker, coach, trainer and author with a fun sense of humor who thinks 'outside the box'. She previously had her own radio program as well as being a guest on local and national radio/TV. What she now aims to do is train people to learn how to not just be a good leader, but how to be a good follower instead. More information about Gardner can be gleaned at www.linkedin.com/in/meredithgardnerphd, mgardner@strategic-edge.com, and www.strategic-cio-solutions.com.
