Book Signing Scheduled For K.J. Sweeney

City Lights Press has scheduled author K.J. Sweeney for a book signing session for his latest release “Faceless Strangers”. The event is scheduled for March 12 at Barnes and Noble in Worcester MA.

Mr. Sweeney will be present at the Lincoln Plaza Barnes and Noble on March 12th, from 12 pm to 3 pm. Readers and fans are invited to attend the book signing and visit with the author. He understands that the best writing is taken from everyday events. His writing comes out of the people he has met and the things he has seen.

The book revolves around the main character's struggle with growing up in a household with a mentally ill mother who never liked him since the day he was born. The author will keep the reader's attention with this page-turning emotional story. The story is set in Hawaii. The island paradise of Oahu becomes a prison for the young narrator, named Rab, and his mother who is lost in her own reality.

Sweeney has wanted to be a writer since the first grade, when he became intrigued with how words could be used to paint unforgettable images. He was heavily influenced by his father and his love of language and literature. He credits Harper Lee, Robert Cormier, James Joyce, Hemmingway and Fitzgerald with his development as a writer. Sweeney is a graduate of Clark University. He has taught English at high school level and internationally.

The press is a new publishing imprint, based in Las Vegas. The firm doesn't have offices in order to focus the money on effectively publishing and marketing more books.
