Finland 100 Toronto believes the celebrations will engage people from the Greater Toronto area and beyond in celebrating the 100th anniversary of Finland’s independence and exploring what makes Finland a dynamo in the world today: known for its superb education, high scoring hockey players, winning designs and high quality of life.
The Finnish community in the GTA is estimated to number 15,000, but significantly more people have connections or interest in Finland. The web site describes four big events that are tailored to be of interest to many different age groups and diverse backgrounds.
