A recent study has found that couples who spend time together watching a box set tend to have better relationships. Additionally, when couples start watching these box sets, their relationship improves. Singles Bee, a business in Los Angeles, CA, which has recently released a new Singles Bee article on what men want in bed, has welcomed this information as it further points to the fact that women often don't know how to make their man happy.
Debrao from Singles Bee says: "We recently wrote an article on the surprising things that men actually want in bed, discussing their inherent insecurities that women often don't expect. Women also don't expect that their man would really enjoy watching a box set together, and that this can really improve their relationship as well."
What the research showed was that watching box sets together was particularly beneficial for couples who did not share their social circle. This can happen, for instance, in long distance relationships, new relationships, or relationships in which people have very different interests. Essentially, by watching a series together, the characters in the show become their shared social group.
"The research was fascinating," adds Debrao. "It showed, for instance, that sharing media was incredibly important to build stronger, better, more committed relationships. It is known that our relationships contribute greatly to our psychological and physical health, and anything that improves that is to be celebrated."
A lot of work is being done to get people away from the television screens and back into the "real" world. However, it seems that this is something that may now have to be reviewed. If relationships improve by watching television, then psychological and physical health improves with it as well. "Who knows, doctors may soon start prescribing watching television together in an effort to cure depression," adds Debrao. "Meanwhile, we also advise that people learn to love each other in the bedroom again. What would be better than watching Game of Thrones together, followed by some role play in the bedroom? And if this is initiated by the woman as well, then sparks will truly fly."
