On Saturday, June 11th, the colleagues, customers, and close friends of numerous Express Employment Professionals workplaces will collaborate at their neighborhood food banks and kitchens to help the fight against hunger - an extensive problem that continues to influence countless individuals around the globe.
Brand It Blue Day is a day each Express franchise can join forces for one great cause to aid the community. This is a chance for Express workplaces to recognize the communities that have sustained them over the years by giving back.
Up until June 11th, Express Salem will organize a food drive at its workplace, situated at 925 Commercial St SE, Suite 100, where you can donate non-perishable food items. On June 11th, volunteers will collect the food and take it to Liberty House, as well as volunteer on site.
"Children who rely upon the meals they receive at school have an especially difficult time over the summer," said Patricia Callihan-Bowman, Salem Express Managing Partner. "The donations received will go towards assisting those children and their families in our community."
In 2015, more than 225 Express Employment Professionals workplaces joined Brand It Blue Day. In the previous four years, along with those Express workplaces, 1,500 volunteers have actually contributed their time and sources as well as supplied greater than 156,000 dishes to neighborhood food banks and non-profits.
