Director Producer Jon Cring Joins Independent Film Company Resilient Film Studios LLC

Cring hails from a family of creatives, being born to parents who were themselves gifted in the arts. A native of Columbus, Ohio, he grew up in an environment of constant creativity, and his family spent years traveling and performing in various venues. As such, his background in both music and drama began when he was very young.

He was also no stranger to the practicalities involved with leading such a life. It is no secret that Cring gained an understanding of the business aspect of entertaining on the move in his early adolescence, and he could often be found getting on the phone to discuss his family’s next gig with clients, venues and so on. However, his eye would not turn towards filmmaking until he met his future wife and associate, Tracy Nichole.

The duo learned quickly that their unique talents worked well when brought together. Their first short film, ‘Hank’s Place,’ caught the eye of critics and audiences alike and was swiftly made a feature at several film festivals, and they went on to fine-tune their craft by working on a series of experimental films. During this period, they explored their strengths and interests together, and this ultimately culminated in Cring realizing he wanted to apply himself to feature-length films. He enjoyed a great deal of success in this regard, and his portfolio now boasts an eclectic mix of genres that include thrillers, musicals and so on. Given his roots in the industry, the vast majority of his experience is hands-on, and he has assumed so many responsibilities during production that he always understands exactly what everyone on his team needs to succeed.

Cring is expected to fit in well with Resilient, especially considering how similar their approach to teamwork and filmmaking is.
