Contractors State License Center (CSLC) is offering a contractors license school in San Fernando Valley, CA. San Fernando Valley is an urbanized valley in Los Angeles County. It is located to the north of the Los Angeles Basin and includes a significant portion of Los Angeles City, including unincorporated regions and incorporated cities of Calabasas, Burbank, Hidden Hills, Glendale, and San Fernando. It is home to iconic film studios, Walt Disney Studios, Warner Bros. Studio, and the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park.

The licensing exam is administered by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) and is considered to be a difficult test but it is a requirement for those who want to accept contractor jobs in California to have a contractors license and this is only provided to those who can pass the test. CLSC offers a way to significantly increase the chances of a person to pass the exam by providing a contractors licensing school where they cover the various topics included in the test. Students of the school will then take practice exams in preparation for the real one.

Contractors who want to accept a building project with a fee for $500 or more are mandated by the law in California to be licensed. According to California law, all individuals or businesses that erect or make changes to any building, road, highway, excavation, railroad, or any other type of structure in the state has to be licensed by the CSLB if the total cost of labor and materials or one or more contracts is at least $500. For the CSLB to grant a license to an individual, that person has to pass the licensing exam.

CSLB can provided a license to contractors as general builders, general engineering contractors, or in more specialized trades, including well drilling, framing, masonry, or landscaping. Contractors, including specialty contractors, subcontractors, and those who are in the home improvement industry need to be licensed before they are allowed to submit bids. Licenses may be issued to individuals, partnerships, corporations, joint ventures, and limited liability companies.

Eric Jacobs, an instructor at the Contractors State License Center, says, “Our research shows that contractors have a higher passing rate when studying in a class room. In order to help you pass this exam, we have implemented an effective and comprehensive California contractors school, specifically designed to help you pass the test the first time. We offer a detailed curriculum in a classroom setting that is designed for your success. Our program that has been created over 20 years has helped thousands of our students get their California contractors license.”

The CLSC classroom curriculum includes six different courses covering the topics of Law and Trade. Taking into account the busy schedule of people, the class is flexible and students are only required to come once a week in a two-hour block. After six weeks of classes, students will take practice exams.

Meanwhile, some may find it very difficult to go to the live classes. Although CSLC recommends attending the live classes for the best results, they understand that some would not be able to attend the classes. Thus, they have developed a home study program where students can employ their study guides, practice exams, and books to prepare for the licensing exam. They recommend that people attend the live classes as much as possible but in the event that they are unable to, they still have the home study program to depend on and can attend via Zoom.

Started in 1974, Contractors State License Center has evolved into a leading contractors license school in the San Fernando Valley, which includes the cities of Calabasas, Burbank, Glendale, San Fernando, Hidden Hills, and several communities in Los Angeles. Currently, they have already help thousands of people fulfill their wish of becoming contractors in California by passing the contractors licensing exam.
