Bakersfield, California -
Bakersfield, CA,6/5/23 — Li & Liao Optometry have announced that they will once again be partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County for their annual summer philanthropic Stuff the Bus event. The Stuff the Bus initiative will run from June 1 to July 30, and will provide students with essential school supplies. Li & Liao’s long-running partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County is just one of their ongoing commitments to the Bakersfield community and forms the start of their summer Back to School campaign. The practice is also proud to announce that they will be matching every dollar and donation throughout the Stuff the Bus initiative.
“We’re so excited to partner with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kern County once again,” said Dawson Li, O.D., optometrist and co-owner of Li & Liao Optometry. “Their work goes such a long way in the community, and they really give the youth a place to thrive, grow, and develop safely. We’ve been working together for years, and their help means the world to us. I love seeing how combining our efforts helps kids, and the Boys & Girls Clubs’ reach plays a large role when it comes to our outreach programs.”
Li & Liao Optometry announced that they will be taking donations for school supplies, ranging from binders and backpacks to scientific calculators and lunch snacks, along with monetary donations at each of their locations. Each donation, from objects to funds, will also be matched by Lia & Liao Optometry. With the addition of the Boys & Girls Club raising more awareness, the practice is hopeful that parents and patients in the community will support the initiative.
“Community involvement is a large part of our practice. We’re so focused on education when it comes to our patients, and it’s helped us establish these great relationships where so many people in our community come by to help the next generation,” said Dr. Li. “Every child deserves to have the tools they need to excel in school, from their vision down to the actual supplies that enable them to learn and participate. I couldn’t be more thankful to everyone who has helped us make last year’s campaign so successful, and I’m thrilled we’re continuing to help give back once more.”
Li & Liao Optometry is currently open and taking appointments for new and existing patients at all of their locations across Bakersfield.
