Apopka, FLApopka Tree Experts, a local tree care and removal company, has announced an ambitious community challenge to plant one million trees in Greater Apopka over the next decade. The project aims to help restore and revitalize the city’s green spaces while creating a healthier, more sustainable environment.

The Apopka Tree Experts project aims to make Greater Apopka a better place to live, work, and play. By planting one million trees over the next decade, they hope to create healthier air and increased shade to improve outdoor recreation areas and reduce energy costs. T

he project also has an economic impact with the potential to create jobs in tree care and maintenance and stimulate business for local nurseries by buying large quantities of trees for planting. Additionally, the project could positively affect biodiversity by providing a habitat for birds and other wildlife. Finally, green spaces tend to increase property values which can help spur further investment in the city.

The initiative was first proposed by Brittany Kelsey, founder, and CEO of Apopka Tree Experts, hoping to inspire others in the community to join her in this effort. “I believe that together, we can make a real difference and create a healthier, greener future for our region,” said Kelsey. “This is an opportunity for us to create a lasting legacy that will benefit our community for years.”

The project will involve many individuals and organizations, including local schools, businesses, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. It will also require donations from members of the community who are passionate about conserving these valuable resources.

Kelsey believes that it is vital for everyone to take ownership of their role in protecting the environment. “We all have a responsibility to ensure that our natural resources are managed responsibly and sustainably,” said Kelsey. “If we all do our part, then we can positively impact our environment and leave a legacy that future generations can be proud of.”

To kick off the project, Apopka Tree Experts will host a series of public events in Greater Apopka annually to promote awareness and education about the importance of tree conservation. The company will also provide resources and materials to participating organizations to help make the initiative successful.

In addition, they have launched a fundraising campaign to support the challenge, help cover the costs associated with purchasing trees and supplies and provide educational resources to participating schools and organizations.

“We are very excited about this initiative and look forward to working with the community to create a greener future for our city and region,” said Kelsey. “We believe that with collective action, we can make a real difference in restoring and preserving our natural resources for years to come.”
